*squee* Pirates Trailer!

Here on the official Disney site and here on Yahoo.

That may be the best trailer I've ever seen. Even if the movie ends up sucking it will be worth it just for the trailer!
Hopefully the movie won't suck, because the trailer promises so much. But one learns not to get one's hopes up TOO high.

Random trailer reactions:

I missed you, Jack!

Yeah, Jack, you tell that scurvy bitch what for, yay!

Oh, look, Norrington has a new wig, and it's extra curly!

Yay, they're going to Singapore yay! I'm so excited to see Chow Yun-Fat in this movie. I hope they do Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon references. Just one would be enough. Because ever since I started fighting with friend(s) about who's the protagonist of the first movie, I've felt that the character of Elizabeth is a lot like that of the girl in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, in the sense of being a stifled upper-class girl who just wants to sword-fight and marry the lower-class hottie, or at least have lots of sex with him in the desert.

OH MY GOD Jack Sparrow sword-fighting Davy Jones! Yeah, baby! Go, Jack! Kick his octopussy ass! *giggles immaturely*

I really hope that at some point we get to find out what mark Jack Sparrow left on that smarmy Beckett bloke, because in DMC when Will asks he does this little embarrassed take, and I want to know what that's all about.

And then there's this nifty little stills gallery that I found via IMDb. Looks like Chow Yun-Fat's sword isn't green, darn.

I really want to know what Jack/Johnny is pointing at in this picture.

And I had no idea Queen Amidala was going to be in this movie.

(This has nothing to do with the content of this post, but have you ever been doing HTML links and started typing out the word "equals" instead of just typing an equal sign? That's really rather annoying.)
