Whereas here's a guy who appears to have some clue what he's talking about.

I just happened to see this thought-provoking article in the Argus today, and since I was already on the subject of religion I wanted to share it. It says pretty much what I've been saying for years, only much more concisely.

I particularly like the part that says,

I don't want to believe that the part about Christians being identified by "anti-this and anti-that" is correct. But when I do occasionally see TV preachers and when I read much of the religious press, the perception one easily could get is that Christians define themselves by who they are against and who they are condemning. And the funny thing about it is that the only ones I remember Jesus condemning were hypocritical and intolerant religious leaders. (my emphasis)

Ironic, eh? I know that when I hear Pat Robertson and his ilk talk about Christ, I'm forced to wonder, "Exactly which Christ are you talking about? Because this doesn't sound anything like the Jesus Christ I know and love."
