Although I'm somewhat mystified as to why Philadelphia still bothers to have anyone portray the role of Betsy Ross, but I guess they figure that facts shouldn't get in the way of a good story. Also I suspect that there are more women who want to do re-enactments than there are female roles available.
Anyway, congratulations to the happy couple; it looks to have been a lovely ceremony and a historic occasion, in several senses of the word.
I'm also rather bemused that the mayor of Philadelphia's last name is "Nutter". That seems unfortunate, but apparently it hasn't gotten in the way of his political career.
