A pause to promote a project I am very enthusiastic about.

I know not all of you are as enthusiastic about Muppets as I am, and that's cool. However, I suspect at least some of you reading this would be interested in seeing a documentary about Caroll Spinney, the man who plays Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street. Well, as it happens, there is such a documentary in the works, and they're currently looking for funding through Kickstarter. Maybe some of you are more familiar with Kickstarter than I am, but if not, here is the webpage with the information, and you can make a pledge from there as well if you are so inclined. It might be worth mentioning that you can get rewards for making a pledge and that they are already more than halfway to their goal.

It looks like a really amazing film, even if you have no interest in Muppets or Sesame Street at all. Caroll Spinney has been around long enough to witness essentially the entire history of television, from both the inside and the outside, plus he's a really sweet old guy with a knack for telling stories and a fascinating story to tell.

In any case, I just wanted you to know that this is going on so that you have the opportunity to contribute if you so desire. And if you know anyone else who might be interested in making a pledge, please feel free to draw their attention to it as well.

Thank you. I now return you to your regularly scheduled LJ-ing.
