Ernie reads over Bert's shoulder.
Confession time: Much like Ernie, I can't stand it when people read over my shoulder, but I have a bad habit of reading over other people's shoulders.
Last week we were talking in comments about suspension of disbelief in regard to these sketches. This is a sketch where I have a hard time suspending disbelief, because I know that newspapers usually don't print stories across two pages like that.
With that said, this sketch is still very funny, mostly because of the "Man Bites Dog" story. Once again I have to wonder: how much of that was scripted and how much of it was Jim Henson making stuff up?
