YoB&E: Day 160--Simon Soundman visits the apartment.

This is a very early sketch, and apparently it takes place before they decided to give Simon Soundman his own (slightly) distinct look, to differentiate him from the ubiquitous Mr. Johnson. (By the way, "The Ubiquitous Mr. Johnson" would make a great title for something.)

"If that's the kind of guy you are, I'll go use someone else's [RINGGGGGG]!" ... And then you'll be sorry! As someone who once had a car break down literally in the middle of nowhere and who had to seek help from a family of apparently hardcore Christian fundamentalist ranchers (who were nonetheless very nice and hospitable), I think Simon is cutting off his nose to spite his face.

Simon Soundman is very physical in his interpretation of the sound effects. I especially like his pig and his train.

Why does Ernie make the poor guy repeat the whole story again after figuring out that he wants to use the phone? And most importantly, where's the baby while all this is going on? He didn't just leave the baby alone in the car, did he???
